Flight of Arrows
Group of handmade arrows! These arrows can be hung together as an installation or can be split up into individuals, pairs, or groups. They also make great, thoughtful gifts.
The arrows that you will receive will be handcrafted and curated just for you. Each set has a diverse grouping of sticks, feathers, and arrowheads created with your color selection. If you prefer a specific color scheme, feather choice, or arrowhead color, please select the custom option and we will work directly with you to fulfill your creative vision.
The flight of arrows will include a proportionate variety of sizes as detailed here :
Flight of 10 : TWO 5-10” arrows, FIVE 11-16” arrows, and THREE 17-22” arrows
Flight of 25 : THREE 5-10” arrows, FOUR 11-16” arrows, SEVEN 17-22” arrows, NINE 23-28”, and TWO 29-36” arrows
Flight of 60 : SIX 5-10” arrows, NINE 11-16” arrows, EIGHTEEN 17-22” arrows, TWENTY-ONE 23-28”, and SIX 29-36” arrows
The color options we offer :
Primary Multicolor - Uses traditional rainbow colors with a few color variations. These colors are harmonious and dynamic. They can bering a fun energy into any room! Our creative team will determine the various color combinations for your arrow grouping.
Vivid & Bright Multicolor - Includes the hotter and intense colors of the rainbow. They are brilliant and bold, but are not fluorescent. These colors would be really fun in a kids space or room with some vibrant energy and liveliness. Our creative team will determine the various color combinations for your arrow grouping.
Mono - You select one color and we’ll make the whole flight using that same color. Keep in mind that each stick, feather, and arrowhead will have a great variety, so sometimes a simple color scheme goes a long way! We LOVE a full set of white, off white, or black! We offer the Mono style any of the colors you see included in the photos, but this not include naturally dyed thread.
Harmony - This is similar to the Mono option, but includes a couple variations of the color selected.
Naturally Dyed (Add 20%) - these colors are hand dyed by our in-studio team. The colors tend to lean towards more earthy or jewel tones and have a subtle shade variations. This option is artist’s choice. Please note that these colors may vary slightly from photographed colors due to the dyeing process.
Custom (Add 20%) - Let’s collaborate! Our creative team will work directly with you to determine a color scheme based off of your interior design, theme, or even from a reference photo or mood board. This is a fun way to personalize your flight of arrows! There is no wrong way!
FAQ :
How long will it take to ship my order? Our standard color arrows typically ship out within 10 business days. Naturally Dyed & Custom orders take around 3-4 weeks to process.
How do I layout the arrows in my space? For the flight design, feel free to be creative and enjoy hanging your new art in any style! We do send a suggested layout reference document when you place your order. If you need more specific direction or a custom layout for your space, please send an email to discuss.
How do I hang the arrows? Our arrows are designed for effortless hanging, ensuring your decor stays securely in place with minimal effort. Here's a simple guide to help you achieve the perfect display :
Alignment: Line up the arrow where you want it to be displayed.
Marking: Gently press the arrow against the wall to provide a guide for nail placement.
Preliminary Hole: Carefully hammer in a spare nail into the nail placement marks you just created and remove that nail.
Mounting: The arrow should now mount easily into the holes without requiring excessive force. I like to leave the arrow about 1/2” off of the wall to allow for a visual sense of depth.
* For plaster or masonry walls: Before mounting the arrow, it's advisable to pre-drill a very small hole using a 1/16” drill bit. You may secure the nail in place with caulk or putty for added stability and support.
What are the materials that are used in the arrows? We use a variety of natural materials including :
A beaver stick- a hand-collected piece of driftwood that gets its texture from a beaver eating the bark for food. Each stick is unique in shape, color, and pattern.
Arrowhead - The modern arowhead is hand-knapped out of stone from a collaborator in Pennsylvania.
Feather - The feather used is from a varietal of turkey.
Thread - Using a very strong waxed cotton string, each element on the arrow is bound and decorated.
On the back side of the arrow is a small "MM" wood-burned signature and a set of nails for easy-hanging.
